We’ve got two exciting opportunities as part of our 2025 New Works Festival - and the turnaround is tight, so don’t miss out!
𝟭. 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗧 (7–17 OCTOBER 2025)
We're seeking a team to fill a Late Night slot in our 2025 Festival. This is a 2-week opportunity to stage a new work with minimal design and tech. Flexibility is essential - teams must work within the set and lighting grid of their paired Mainstage show. Ideal runtime is 45-80 minutes. Submission deadline: Midnight, 15 June.
𝟮. 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 (SEPTEMBER–OCTOBER 2025)
We are now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from playwrights developing new works for our curated Readings program. Submission deadline: Midnight, 30 June.
We strongly encourage submissions that are inclusive and diverse - works that thoughtfully represent underrepresented communities and explore intersections of race, gender, age, ethnicity, and sexuality.

Accessibility and transparency of opportunities is at the forefront of our minds as we prepare to step into 2025 and a new chapter at the Old Fitz Theatre. As a result, we are launching the Old Fitz Theatre's Artist Database. The aim of this is to make it possible for a larger pool of artists to be considered for opportunities, and for teams to have a larger pool of talent to draw from to cast and crew their shows.

Whether you're a seasoned creative or just starting out, this is your opportunity to dive into the scripts, enjoy the atmosphere, and even grab a drink while you’re at it!
